In Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, Chea Raty has opened a cafe that offers drinks to enjoy in the company of iguanas, scorpions and snakes. Although reptile cafe is not really a novelty in Asia, this place has become a true Cambodian sensation.
In the reptile cafe you can admire the various species from the display cases, while sipping your drink from a safe distance. Or, without paying additional fees, you can choose the reptile you like the most and bring it to the table to cuddle. They are all used to human presence and contact, as long as they are treated gently. You can also take some selfies.
Chea Raty started collecting reptiles, spiders and insects more than three years ago. A passion that she later decided (with the authorization of the ministry) to share with her clients, hoping to help those who are afraid of snakes to realize that they are actually cute and docile creatures.
