Prof. Dr. Canan Karatay shared significant advice on healthy eating. Karatay emphasized the need to opt for village butter and cautioned against packaged products:

“I don’t know about that, I say village butter. Do not buy anything that comes in a package.”

Moreover, Karatay mentioned the need to choose full-fat cheese and to prepare yogurt at home:

“Cheese has to be full-fat. You will ferment the yogurt at home yourself. Those that come in packages, cheeses and fats are made from powdered milk.”

Minerals Our Cells Need: Rock Salt

Prof. Dr. Karatay discussed that 60% of our cells are composed of water and stressed the importance of consuming mineral water. She recommended using rock salt instead of industrial salt:

“When I say salt, I’m talking about rock salt. Industrial salt is dangerous. There are 84 natural trace minerals in crystal rock salt. The human body needs these. You can consume a teaspoon of crystal rock salt every day. Salt and minerals prevent Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and dementia.”

Dangers of Sugar Consumption

Karatay stated that our body does not need sugar and that sugar consumption could lead to health issues:

“Our body does not need sugar. Red blood cells do not have a nucleus. Only they need sugar. Since they do not have a nucleus, they cannot produce energy, but all our other cells produce the necessary energy. The sugar need of red blood cells in 24 hours is one lump of sugar. There are 22 tea sugars in one can of carbonated drink. This is the cause of diseases.”

Fruit Consumption and the Wormy Apple Advice

Karatay drew attention to the importance of fruit consumption and suggested eating “wormy apples”:

“Fruit will of course be consumed but for example, eat wormy apples. It will be without pesticides. Because worms are smarter than us. They do not eat anything that has agricultural poison on it. You can consume wormy apples, but be careful when you bite, half of the worm should not remain in the apple!”
