Kuala Lumpur for Kids: Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

Kuala Lumpur Mall with Roller Coaster

Although it is true that the visitor to Kuala Lumpur does not spend more than two or three days in the city, which, on the other hand, they take advantage of to visit the main tourist attractions; and although it is also true that there is a wide range of entertainment exclusively for children, there is a specific place for them that, if you go with time, is worth visiting because it is distracting, cheap and peculiar. Is he Berjaya Times Square Theme Parka theme park located inside a shopping mall.

But let’s start at the beginning.

Berjaya Times Square It is a complex of two twin towers opened to the public in 2003 in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It has 48 floors and they say that it is the seventh largest building in the world. It houses a 10-storey shopping center with more than 1,000 stores, offices, a five-star hotel with more than 1,200 luxury suites, 65 food outlets and entertainment attractions such as a theme park, a bowling alley and cinemas. However, its dimensions are not close to the largest in Kuala Lumpur, the Utama Selangor, nor is it one of the most beautiful or luxurious in the Asian capital. But Berjaya So much.

To get to it, the best option is to stop at the Imbi monorail station (LRT) and it is open 365 days a year from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Based on the fact that each KUL shopping center is different from any other, the most specific peculiarity of this shopping center is that it houses an Amusement Park inside from floors 5 to 10. But we are not talking about a small merry-go-round and two electric cars, we are talking about a real Theme Park with a mechanical bull, cars, waves, simulators, trains, and a real roller coaster with loops, fast and steep drops. Not in vain, and at the moment, it is the largest theme park in Malaysia. It is a real treat to see everything mounted there, inside a shopping center!

Berjaya Times Square Theme Park

This was one of the surprises we gave Macarena on our second trip to Kuala Lumpur. He spent a full morning in the Amusement Park of the Berjaya, accompanied by her father –it’s just that I get dizzy from the pots and pans-, while I dedicated myself to touring the Shopping Center, observing who came and went and buying the occasional little thing. I couldn’t describe how Macarena had a great time in that place, she was amazed at the place! So if you have enough time and patience and you travel with children, do not stop considering the option. If this is not the case, at least stop by to see how the roller coaster flies above your heads along with hundreds of shops.
