There are floating windows which we can drag around anywhere from the top and then resize from the bottom. Once we’re in our apps, we can tap the top to quickly flick between all the different possible ways to display it to best use the big screen. We can trace gestures onto our phone to quickly open apps or swipe to control our music, even when it’s on standby. Swiping down with three fingers takes a full screenshot of the large screen, and holding with three fingers takes a partial screenshot of a specific section. There’s a smart panel that lets us quickly fiddle with settings or open apps. Smart Touch means that holding a finger on either side of the screen will scan for all text and let us instantly edit and copy it. We can always see our three most recent apps on our dock, showing us the exact state we left those apps in, with the ability to resume them from that state. As a z fold 4 user I can say I’m actually a little jealous of some of those software features. Some great ideas in there and a really solid effort overall. If I lost my phone today and was looking at a replacement it would definitely be considered.
