The mountain paradise in “Sweden version” (Sarek National Park)

The Rapa river extends for more than 70 kilometers shaping one of the most beautiful valleys in the Swedish Lapland region (and in all of Sweden), within the Sarek National Park. The landscape of the park, which is also considered one of the most beautiful in Sweden, owes part of its beauty to the abundant rain in a mountain area, precisely in the rainiest part of the country. The river, which is born from the melting of the glaciers with its turquoise color, towards its mouth it divides into countless watercourses generating a colorful delta:

The Sarek National Park It is ideal territory for hikers, although its difficulty is high. There are marked trails that take you to the top of Mount Skierfe, from where you get fantastic views of the Rapa Valley. The region also contains some of the highest peaks in Sweden, averaging 2,000 meters above sea level, and more than 100 glaciers. In fact, it is the highest elevations in the Swedish territory, making it one of the best collections of mountain landscapes with incredible views:

As can be seen in the images, the park is not a region with large tourist infrastructures. Rather it is a rustic place with numerous trails like the Kungsleden, albeit through difficult terrain plagued by changeable weather. Recommended to travel in summer (although with some experience in hiking), winter, on the other hand, is more than difficult terrain and not recommended. The reward, in any case, will be meeting with what the Swedes themselves consider one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country.
