History of Vitamin K2

Dr. Weston Price, a dentist who did extensive research in the 1930s and 1940s, was one of the first to uncover the importance of Vitamin K2. He traveled to remote cultures that ate healthy diets and observed the excellent health of their teeth and bones. Dr. Price found that these cultures consumed foods such as grass-fed butter and cheese and was determined to find out why their teeth and bones were so strong. He concluded that the secret to their health was a mysterious factor he called Activator X, which he believed was essential for good health. However, Vitamin K2 was not yet identified and was only discovered years later.

Foods such as natto, a Japanese dish made from fermented soybeans, and cheese, particularly Gouda, are rich in Vitamin K2. However, there is currently no recommended daily allowance (RDA) for Vitamin K2, making it essential to consume a balanced diet that includes foods rich in Vitamin K2.

    I switched over to goats cheese after my total LDL went up and then realised it was a safer bet as goats are grass fed , they also make the cheese you recommended.
    I break my fast with goats cheese, black olives take D3 and Magnesium then have Kimchi and Sauerkraut.
    Regarding the cholesterol, I asked for a full profile and there’s a lot to take in and it can be overwhelming; but glad I tuned in for this you have put my mind at ease.

    I grew up in Germany and my mom would bring home the Limburger cheese and the fridge would smell like the cheese lol. I never cared for it but love Munster cheese ,sauerkraut etc. Thanks for explaining the benefits of vit K2.

    I eat natto every day. It is cheap and you get used to the texture pretty quick. It is so healthy for you. I also take a K2 supplement every day
